Hunting Tour - Mount Chirukhi Adjara Region,

Khulo is one of the high mountainous regions of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. It is 600-300m above the seabed. Khulo is situated to the west of the Arsiani Range. The Region mainly consists of Ghorjomistskali, Skhaltistskali, and Acharistskali valleys.

Climate: mild continental   

Shuakhevi is a district center borders with Turkey along 42km. The Batumi-Akhaltsikhe national highway passes through the Region.

 The Region is noted with comparably less dampness. There is the Mediterranean type subtropical climate along the Acharistskali Valley. Summer is hot and dry, winter is rather warm. Most part of the Region is mountainous. The highest ones are the Kheva (2812m) and the Taganuri (2662m) mountains.

One of the prominent prides of Adjara mountain resorts is Mount Chirukhi, situated in the Alpine zone. It is located on the eastern slope of Arsiani Range, 1800-2100 m above sea bed, 130 km. from city Batumi. While travelling toward Chirukhistskali can easily be filled with extraordinary impressions passing though fascinating Acharistskali Valley where plants characterized for Kolkheti are still preserved today. Clean Mountain Rivers form attractive waterfalls and create unforgettable scenery.

Chirukhii is remarkable for its fresh air. Coniferous forests contribute to special iodization of the air. Chirukhi is the best place for hunting. Here you can find Caucasian bear and deer

Day 1:  Arrival to Batumi Airport, where you will be met by the representatives of EcoTour-Ge, transfers to the hotel, traditional Georgian dinner, overnight in Batumi.

 Day 2: Visit of Sea Boulevard (a famous seaside park, or Boulevard which is along the sea founded by a famous German gardener Resler and lately by a prominent gardener D’Alfons. A great Georgian gardener – decorator Iason Gordeziani had also done a great contribution to the decoration of the park, as of the London Botanical Gardens), Ardagani lake (an important centre of tourism, two artificial islands, amphitheatre and many cafes are arranged on the lake), 6th May park / Nurigeli lake (located in the city of Batumi), The Cathedral of the St. God Mother (a gothic temple, built of peculiar   stones, changing their colours in dependence of weather), Botanical Garden (which is on the slopes of Mtsvane Kontskhi (the Green Cape) in Adjara covered with wonderful intact Colchic forests that counted centuries of age), overnight in Batumi.

 Day 3: Trip to Khulo district –Mount Chirukhi, adaptation, hunting (including professional assistance while hunting, all necessary equipment for hunting, preparing and delivering trophies), overnight in a village Guest House or in a Camp (commensurate with the situation).

 Day 4: Mount Chirukhi, hunting (including professional assistance while hunting, all necessary equipment for hunting, preparing and delivering trophies), overnight in a village Guest House or in a Camp (commensurate with the situation).

 The hunting day includes information on Georgian hunting traditions, animals, birds and fishes (locals and migrated ones).

 Day 5: Mount Chirukhi, hunting (including professional assistance while hunting, all necessary equipment for hunting, preparing and delivering trophies), overnight in a village Guest House or in a Camp (commensurate with the situation). 

Day 6: Visit of Skhalta Monastery (XIII century monument of Georgian architecture and Annunciation churches, two Mosques in villages Dekanashvilebi and Ghorjomi, the Museum of Local Lore, Abuserisdze Tbeli (in Tkhilvana) and Sheriff Khimshiashvili (in Skhalta), lunch, visit of the Art Gallery in the Khulo district centre, back to Batumi, overnight in Batumi.

 Day 7: Visit of Gonio Fortress (dates from 8th-7th centuries BC. You can follow the ancient tradition, the rise of Apsarus as a settlement is related to the expedition of the Argonauts to Aeaea-Colchis which in the view of the scholars, should be dated to the end of the 15th-14th centuries BC or to the first half of the 13th century BC.), Mtirala National Park ((established in 2006 through initiative of the Government of Adjara Autonomous Republic and the Agency of Protected areas of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Natural Resources with WWF’s assistance and financial support provided by the Norwegian Government), farewell dinner, overnight in Batumi. 

Day 8: Check-out the hotel, departure from Batumi airport.

Note: Duration of the tour will be fit to your arrival and departure Flights. You can arrive in Tbilisi or Batumi airports. Arrival place should be negotiated with us as EcoTour-Ge takes responsibility to meet you at the airport. You have alternative choice: you can arrive in Georgia via Turkey! Our representatives can meet you at the border of Turkey- right at the custom offices in Sarpi.

Price includes: Transfer from and to Batumi (or Tbilisi) Airport, Inland transportation, Interpreter, Tour guide, Georgian wine and beer, Hotel accommodation (In the cities), Guest house accommodation (in the villages), 3 times meal a day, Souvenir, Museums entrance fees.
